Philosophy

Six tenets, held in practice.

These are not values on a wall. They are the shape of our working days, and the reason a founder might choose us over another partner.

I.
Tenet I

Permanence

Capital without a clock. We hold no fund, no vintage, and no obligation to return the money on someone else's timetable. Our horizon is measured in generations. This changes the founders we back, the questions we ask, and the years we are willing to wait for an answer.

II.
Tenet II

Concentration

Few positions, held deeply. We would rather own five things we understand completely than fifty we hold at arm's length. Concentration is not a strategy — it is a discipline of attention.

III.
Tenet III

Conviction

Bought once, then defended. Every position is the product of long consideration, and once taken, it is defended against the noise of the cycle. We do not trim to feel active.

IV.
Tenet IV

Partnership

We sit on the same side of the table. The founders we back have our number and our time. We support the years that do not photograph well as readily as those that do. Alignment, for us, is a matter of temperament — not paperwork.

V.
Tenet V

Research

Judgement earned, not borrowed. We do our own work, in our own words. QuantRes taught us that a proprietary point of view is the only kind worth having, in markets or in private companies.

VI.
Tenet VI

Discretion

Silence, by default. We publish little. We name only what is helpful. The company does the work; the founder tells the story. We prefer to be found by those who already know why they are looking.
